Why you should watch:

There are two great games on Saturday and this is one of them. Kansas finds themselves in a familiar position, first place heading down the backstretch.  The Jayhawks need to win 5 of their last 7 in order to guarantee their eleventh conference title in a row, but four of those games include both games with the Mountaineers, a road game with Oklahoma and a road game with rival Kansas State.  Baylor could shake up the Big 12 with an upset in Lawrence, putting themselves right in the middle of the conference race. The Bears’ window is closing after suffering an upset at home by Oklahoma State who is currently the hottest team in the Big 12.  Baylor can either play themselves into a position setting up a dogfight for the final four weeks, or they will fall four games back with seven to go, all but eliminating them for the conference race.  While neither team will be ruined with a loss, whoever wins this game is going to drastically change the conference tittle race.  Perfect four barcaloungers!

Why you should watch:

The second great game?  Look no further than West Virginia and Iowa State.  Both of these teams have lost two of their last three, so they are both desperate for a win. Dropping three out of four games would most likely eliminate them from the conference race, depending on how the Kansas and Baylor game goes, but could send one of the teams into a tailspin.  Judging by their upcoming schedules this is almost a must win for West Virginia if it hopes to stay alive for conference title consideration.  Nobody has a more brutal schedule down the stretch with both Kansas games, both Oklahoma State games, at Baylor and Texas.  Iowa State has been a tale of two teams this year, one on the road and one at home.  Unfortunately for the Mountaineers, Iowa State is playing at home and that usually spells doom for the visiting team.  This is going to be playoff intensity! Another 4 barcaloungers.

Why you should watch:

This is a trap game for Oklahoma, wedged between Iowa State and their Red River rival Longhorns.  Currently there are not any teams going in more opposite directions in the Big 12 than these two.  The Sooners are coming off of five straight wins (a record this year in the Big 12, tied with Kansas) and the Wildcats are limping into this game after losing five straight.  Kansas State actually has the Sooner’s only home loss this year, so either that bodes well for Weber matching up against Kruger, or it means that the Sooners are out for blood.  I would take cover if I were a Wildcat fan, this could get ugly.  I am going 2 barcaloungers only because it has potential for a competitive game based on their first.

Why you should watch:

I keep saying it every week, but TCU is going to upset one of these ranked teams.  They have gotten too close to not pull off one of these.  Unfortunately this is going to be a tall order because the Cowboys are the hottest team in the conference and are playing with sky high confidence after squaring off against five straight ranked teams and winning four of them, two being on the road.  The only thing going for the Horned Frogs is maybe after OSU just got done playing such a tough stretch the Cowboys will let up a little. TCU is also playing at home, but even that is now a high school gymnasium, so forget it, Pokes roll.  1 1/2 barcaloungers only for the minute upset factor.

Why you should watch:

Honestly, I don’t know why you should watch.  You may not be able to regardless since it is on the Longhorn Network.  To sum it up, Texas is at home and can’t afford to drop this game. If the Horns lose to Tech in Austin and drop to 5-7 in the conference the A.D. might change the locks to the locker room while Barnes is doing his post game presser.  This would be a major disaster for a team that was supposed to compete.  I give it 1 barcalounger because Tech is always good for an upset and if there was ever a coach that could blow a winnable game this critical to salvaging a season it would be Rick Barnes.
